Our History

First Flight Lures was founded in 2018 by Owner Gene Holland a longtime firefighter and fisherman from Wilmington NC. Now living in Rocky Point NC and after years of tying and building his own jigs he decided to make it his business so others can enjoy these custom jigs. When not working everyone associated with First Flight Lures enjoys time product testing (Fishing) with family and friends up and down the coast of North Carolina from the Outer Banks to Bald Head and everywhere in between. We also enjoy taking time to teach others about the sport we enjoy so much so that they too can enjoy what God has given us. We enjoy fishing for all types of fish from inshore to offshore, on the sand or in a boat, freshwater or saltwater anywhere we can get a chance to bend a rod.
We are a small business bringing custom high quality jigs for multiple types of fish and fishing situations across the United States from our shop in Rocky Point North Carolina. Every Jig is poured, painted, and hand tied right here in in the USA out of the highest quality time tested materials. Every jig is built custom when ordered and then shipped, delivered, or ready for pickup to the customer. With this custom design lead times can sometimes cause some delay in receiving the order based on the number of orders to be filled.
